Museums and Museum Design Project

This project developed as a collaborative partnership between BIAD and Birmingham Museums Service (BMS). It evolved out of the University's mission to serve local and regional communities and the needs of BMS to redevelop its services in line with reports and government papers on social inclusion, audience development and lifelong learning. It involved a series of projects, undertaken by postgraduate students, concentrating on physical display and design possibilities and the match and potential of information technology to serve particular display issues, remote access and the use of web sites and information networks.
