Binary Propositions

Binary Propositions is an exhibition of contemporary visual art collaborations between artists in the UK and Finland. Eight pairs of artists from a range of disciplines merge their practice to produce a series of new works for exhibitions in the UK and Finland.

"For art to function, collaboration is necessary. It takes the participation of the viewer and the audience to make a piece of art exist. It is understood that art cannot exist on its own, it has no meaning in isolation but to collaborate on making a piece of art can mean a number of things. As authorship extends to those that make, think, and perceive, the range of possible involvement is extended."
