Higher Degrees

- An initial 2-3 page work outline with the following headings:
- A short working title;
- The aims of your proposal;
- A contextual introductory statement citing other work in the area in relation to your overall intentions;
- A description of the methods you would use to conduct the research;
- An indication of the likely outcomes of the research in relation to your aims;
- If appropriate you may send supporting visual material preferably on CD or slide transparency. NEVER SEND ORIGINAL WORK.
- A curriculum vitae (resumé) detailing academic career and publications.
- Two letters of support from academic referees who are in a position to assess the potential of both your ability to undertake higher degree research and a provisional view of the promise of your two page proposal.
- Evidence of proficiency in the English language in the case of overseas (non-EU) students, for example, IELTS Grade 6.0 in all bands or 6.5 average; TOEFL at least 575.
